Microsoft has released its monthly update, with new changes and improvements to the Windows experience.
In the new 24H2 update, Windows updates will now be significally faster and use less CPU power. The installation and restart process will be over 30% faster, too.
Along with the faster update process, which is automatic and doesn’t need further configuration, the 24H2 update also comes with technology improvements, including:
- Support for connecting to Wi-Fi 7-enabled wireless networks
- Windows Hello has improved compatibility with passkeys
- Stronger local account security
- Live captioning from any media on newer Copilot devices
