Windows 11 is Microsoft’s latest Windows operating system. While Windows 10 may still be holding on to a larger market share (as seen in data statistics by Statcounter⇗), it does have an upcoming end of life. Windows 10 is set to receive no more updates after October of 2025. Newer PC computers may come with Windows 11, but most are still running on the more popular 10.

Check Compatibility with PC Health Check tool
To check if your computer is compatible with Windows 11, use the PC Health Check tool. The PC Health Check tool automatically scans your computer’s hardware to ensure it has compatibility and meets system requirements. You can alsio see the official requirements on the official specs page here.
You may already have the PC Health Check app or eligibility checker on the Windows Update screen. Open Windows Update, or search from Start > “pc health check” to check if you already have the app. If not, you can download it from Microsoft’s website here.
